I live in San Diego, California. For my perfect grilled cheese sandwich I use Havarti and Mozzarella cheeses. I sprinkle just a little bit of salt and other seasonings for just the right flavor. Then I butter sourdough bread and grill it until it is perfectly toasted with just enough crisp and the cheese is melted. The Havarti adds so much buttery creaminess to the sandwich. They are the perfect combination of crunch and ooy gooey cheese!

start with two slices of old fashion white or potato bread. Lightly and evenly spread bacon flavored mayonnaise on the inside of the bread. Next use two slices of Tillamook colby jack cheese to evenly cover the bread face. After putting the sandwich together add a small amount of garlic oil to some softened Tillamook sweet cream butter and lightly coat the outside of sandwich with it. On medium heat and non stick pan begin to cook sandwich for a few minutes till golden brown and flip. Cook to golden on the otherside and remove from heat. Let rest about a minute so cheese fully melts and slice in half. Grab a glass of Tillamook chocolate milk and thoroughly enjoy!!!

I wouldn't travel so I won't enter the contest...but my mom made great grilled cheese. Cheddar in the middle of texas toast sliced bread (butter inside a little) and spread OUTSIDE with mayo and fry it up in a cast iron skillet. Mayo on the outside made a difference. I add good cooked bacon and when grilled open it up and put in tomatoe and lettuce. So good!!

You might think out of the box for this contest and stuff a pita pocket with cheese and grill and then stuff with Tom, Lettuce, mushrooms, bell peppers, red onions, AND sliced green olives! A little Italian dressing...oh yum!

Well, since I didn't get a call I guess my grilled cheese recipe didn't cut the mustard. When do the rest of us find out who was chosen?
