In order to have lots of yummy cheese to share with everyone we meet, we cube samples for each Loaf Love Tour store event.

Typically we sample 3 different types of Tillamook Cheese! Yum! The first step is to cut the 5lb loafs of cheese into 3 different large squares.

We then start the cubing process! We use a special cubing tool for this.

It has 6 wires that cut through the cheese. We cut it 3 different ways to create 1/2 inch cubes.

There are 150 cubes in each large square! We put 300 cubes of cheese in our 6 sampling bags for each event.

Our team has around 1,800 cubes of cheese on us at each event! That’s a lot of cheese to go through in a day and sometimes we do! This all depends on how many Tillafans stop by to check us out!

 

This last week, we had a race on how fast someone could break down the cubes. Cheesy Dee cubed 300 samples in 1 minute and 52 seconds. There is an ongoing internal competition to see who can cube the fastest. Ready! Set! Cube!
