Saturday, August 10th is National S’mores Day! While Tillamook Fireside S’mores Ice Cream is a perfect way to celebrate the holiday, we thought we’d share another Tilla-fied option for you adventurous folks out there!

Chocolate and cheese is either a salty sweet pair you love, or one that sends you running. If you’re not afraid of the combination, an ooey gooey sweet and salty s’more may be the perfect treat for you.

I used milk chocolate and 3 Year Vintage White Extra Sharp Cheddar and graham crackers to make mine.

Using a toaster oven, I melted an open faced sandwich of cheese and graham cracker for about two and a half minutes on medium heat (325ºF). Once the cheese was visibly melted, but before the crackers burned, I removed the cheesy crackers and placed a square of chocolate on top. The chocolate melted against the hot cheese – YUM! While the flavor is certainly different than traditional s’mores, this savory rendition is actually quite tasty!
