Ranch is a household staple here in the US. Salad dressing, chicken wing dip, veggie tray must-have…it has many uses and is loved by adults and children alike. Right now, you’re probably picking up ranch dressing at your local store, pouring it into a bowl, and calling it good…That is, until now! News flash: ranch is one of the easiest sauces to make yourself that you’re not currently making. It only takes 5 minutes and chances are you already have at least half of the ingredients in your kitchen. Want to serve up some crisp, homemade ranch? Here’s what to do:

Yield
Approximately 1 cup of ranch

Ingredients
⅓ cup Tillamook Premium Sour Cream (which won 1st place at the American Cheese Society Conference in July!)
1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
1 teaspoon dill, dried or finely chopped
A pinch of cayenne powder
2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped (or ½ teaspoon of garlic powder)
Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup buttermilk

 

Preparation
Mix all ingredients together except for the buttermilk. Slowly add the buttermilk to the mixture, stirring frequently, until desired consistency is reached. Let cool in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Serve!
