Every year, the American Cheese Society hosts a conference where more than 1,000 members come together for educational opportunities and an infamous awards ceremony to recognize the best dairy products in America! This year, more than 1,600 dairy products were tasted and evaluated in hopes of receiving an award among America’s finest creameries.

We are thrilled to announce that Tillamook Pepper Jack was voted America’s Best! It’s been a great year for Tillamook Pepper Jack; this fiery cheese also received a 2nd place award at the 2014 World Cheese Championship Contest®. Looking for a recipe with a spicy kick? Pick up some fresh ingredients from the farmers market for this healthy and flavorful Spicy Cobb Salad.

Other awards Tillamook won at the 2014 American Cheese Society Judging and Competition includes America’s Best Unsalted Butter, 3rd place for Natural Sour Cream, and 3rd place for Sharp Cheddar.

We’re very proud of our product quality and are happy to share these products with our fans. Raise a slice with us and celebrate the win!

Natural Sour Cream should have won first prize, it's excellent. Very high quality product, no growth hormone in the milk or cream. Taste better than Darigold, Nancy's.

Very excited about my visit to Tillamook!!
Oh man when I first heard about your pepper jack (about a minute ago) I got so hungry! Is there any way you guys will expand to Canada? Jeezus its a long way down eh. I really love cheese curds for my poutine and on just about everything I eat, have you ever thought about putting cheese in your ice cream? I think that'd be fantastic.
Thanks guys! Can't wait to hear back =)

Hi Pioter,
Thanks so much for your comment here on the Tillamook blog! We can't wait for you to come down for a visit to The Cheese Factory too. I hope you have a great visit :) At this time, we don't export to Canada, but our friends at Made in Oregon do ship to Canada! But, you can only get our tasty cheese curds fresh from the factory, so I'm afraid you'll have to come down to visit again when it's time for more poutine. Hope you'll let us know how your visit goes!

All the best,
Amalya of the Tillamook team
