Introducing Tillamook Light Yogurt

Light Yogurt

For the last two years Tillamook has been making and trying, and making and trying…and making and trying different recipes of light yogurt. You may ask – well, what took so long?! When we set out to make a light yogurt we wanted to stay true to our brand promise and provide your family with a product made in the most natural way possible. So, we used no artificial flavors, no artificial colors, no artificial sweeteners and no high fructose corn syrup in our recipe. Using Truvia® sweetener, along with other natural sugar substitutes, we were able to finally create 6 ounces of the highest quality, best tasting light yogurt – maybe even giving our award-winning cheeses a run for their money (we’ll let you be the judge)!

Perfection sometimes takes time and we are confident you will love the new Light Yogurt available in some of your favorite flavors:

· Oregon Strawberry

· Vanilla Bean

· Marionberry

· Raspberry

· Peach

· Mountain Huckleberry

· Northwest Berry Patch

· Pomegranate Blackberry

· Lemon Squeeze

· Dark Cherry

Tillamook Light Yogurt will be on shelves at major grocery stores in Oregon and Washington throughout the next few months. Stay tuned to Tillamook.com, and the Loaf Life Blog, for updates on when you can find Tillamook Light Yogurt in additional states at a grocery store near you.

If you have tried the Light Yogurt, we’d love to hear from you! Follow us on Facebook or Twitter and share the love, or just leave a comment below. Thank you!

    Hi Dana,

Our Light Yogurt is currently only available in the Pacific Northwest and some parts of California and Arizona, but our goal is to bring our yummy products to everyone. I haven’t heard of any plans to expand Light Yogurt to Indiana, but it never hurts to mention us to your local grocery store!

I absolutely love this yogurt, but I cant eat it due to the Truvia. I, like many other people have a reaction to this “Natural” sweetener. I’m disappointed because I really like the flavor of this yogurt. I love all things Tillamook…

Hi Melody – thanks for taking the time to stop by our blog and leaving your comments! We’re so happy to hear you loaf our other Tillamook dairy products, but sorry to hear you have a reaction to an ingredient in our new Light Yogurt. Have you tried our Lowfat Yogurt? Same great flavor and sweetened with real sugar! If you have any other questions or comments, please Contact Us!

I love this product, I wonder if it is possible to freeze it and eat it as a frozen treat.

I just searched up the blog after trying Northwest Berry Patch and Vanilla Bean light yogurt and I must say they were absolutely delicious. I sampled a bunch of other light yogurts at the grocery store before seeing these at my local WinCo Foods in Riverside, California and they were by far the best tasting to date. The best part is that its still very creamy and perfectly sweet, really there’s nothing light about it, I’d take it over a cup of full-fat over-sweet yogurt any day, the guilt free part is just a bonus.

    Laura Says:

    Hi Toni,

It might change the texture of the yogurt, but you can freeze and then eat it. Lots of other Tillamook fans have told us stories of doing so. There is even a blog post about Frozen Yogurt Pops if you’re interested. Try it out and let us know what you think!

I really like your yogurt and cheeses! However I don’t like the new light yogurt at all. I normally do not buy light yogurts ever, but I thought I would try one since it says all natural. I will stick with the regular yogurt. :)

    Kelly Says:

    Hi Margie,

Thanks for giving the Light Yogurt a try! I’m sorry the yogurt didn’t work for you! I appreciate your comments and will make sure to pass them on to the yogurt team!

Can’t seem to enter and submit things to you because I live in Burnaby, BC, Canada.
Whenever we cross the border to the United States we ALWAYS buy your products (which is often, throughout the year).
Especially your yogurt, all the different cheese loaves, ice cream, butter and sour cream. I hardly buy any other cheeses since I load up on it when I go south because the expiry date is late. When we camp in the United States we always buy the rest of your products. Would be really nice to receive coupons throughout the year since we have been such loyal customers for years and we camp in the United States often. Just came back from Sacramento and your diary products was what we consumed. Love your light yogurt too! MMM, marionberry. Wish your products could be purchased in BC. Why isn’t it sold here?

    Hi Nancy!

Thanks so much for being a super fan up north! We love our Canadian fans here at Tillamook! I’m so glad you’ve found a way to get Tillamook in your home! Can you Contact US here so we can help you with the submitting issue?

    steve Says:

I wish you would make 1 flavor of fruit yogurt that is NOT sweetened with ANYTHING. Fruit is actually naturally sweet. Fruit yogurt with sugar or Truvia sweetener tastes horrible to me and my family.

I know that you try to appeal to a mass market but with so many flavors can you just allow 1 or 2 to have a more honest fruit flavor rather than a flavor dominated by added sweet sweet sweet whatever? As it is I buy plain yogurt and add my own fruits to it – obviously buying your yogurt would be more convenient. But we don’t because it tastes way too..(you guessed it)…sweet.

    thanks for listening.
