November Recipepalooza: Grandma’s Shrimp

No holiday at my house would be complete without this tasty shellfish appetizer. Cousins would riot if my Grandmother would skip making it for our celebrations. It’s a nice, lighter start to a hearty and savory Thanksgiving dinner.

GRANDMA’S SHRIMP

1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/8 cup chili sauce
3 tsp. horseradish
1/4 cup minced red onion
1/2 tsp. Tabasco
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 tsp. chopped fresh parsley
salt and black pepper to taste
1 pound large shrimp, cooked, peeled and deveined

Combine all ingredients well. Add shrimp and toss to thoroughly coat with sauce. Refrigerate for a couple of hours prior to serving.
