Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow
Come to the Tillamook Cheese Factory to stock up on the below three Tillamook Ice Cream flavors while you still can! Enjoy these soon-to-be discontinued flavors at the Cheese Factory and take them home in hand-packed containers – Small ($3.95), Large ($4.65), or a 3 Gallon Tub ($30.50).
Get your last licks of these three creamy, classic flavors:
- Black Walnut
- White Licorice
- German Chocolate Cake
These flavors are definitely beloved and we’ll miss them (parting with them is literally sweet sorrow!), but we want to make more room for our fans’ favorite flavors. Unfortunately, a key ingredient in White Licorice and Black Walnut is also no longer available to us.
We’ll still have lots of luscious reasons to lure you to the Cheese Factory – such as Tillamook Mudslide, Oregon Strawberry, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and many many more. During the month of July (a.k.a National Ice Cream Month), we’re also sampling a different ice cream flavor every day. Follow us on Twitter to learn the flavor of the day!
Hope to see you at the Cheese Factory soon!

So it’s true. How sad, this was my favorite. Breyer’s rocky road is the only other ice cream I really care for.

I know – it’s sad! Don’t worry though, Sheri, Chocolate Peanut Butter is sticking around :)
Kelly – Have you tried our Rocky Road? It’s delicious!

White licorice is sublime. Ice cream perfection at its best. You can go anywhere and get chocolate or bubble gum, but you are the only place on earth you can find white licorice. Don’t do it! Please!!!!!!!

Hi, Jim! We’re very sad to see White Licorice go, too. Unfortunately, a key ingredient required to make this flavor is no longer available to us. In the meantime, we’ve turned to poetry to soothe our sadness.

German Chocolate Cake was my favorite, no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A lot of people I know love German chocolate and also consider it their favorite. Sorry, bad choice. Guess on the good side, I’ll be saving money.

Hi Sue, I’m sad about it too! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! :(

Hi Danielle,
I am sorry to announce that you are too late… we ran out of German Chocolate Cake earlier this year. Hopefully you’ll find another Tillamook Ice Cream that you’ll grow to love just as much!
