In my book, pumpkin IS fall. What else can be found only in this chilly season, and so consistently, too? Pumpkins provide fun homemade decorations when carved, but more importantly, are a tasty ingredient in some great recipes. I’ve only run across pumpkin in a handful of foods, like the old standby, pumpkin pie, or in a bowl of creamy pumpkin soup. But this fall my favorite creamery is helping me feed my pumpkin cravings. Tillamook has made a, previously factory-only, flavor this year’s holiday flavor: Pumpkin!
What can you do with pumpkin ice cream, you ask? Eat it on a cone. Eat it with cake. Spoon it from the carton, or drink it as a shake. If you’re a true pumpkin lover, scrap the vanilla and take your pumpkin pie to the next level by topping it with Tillamook Pumpkin Ice Cream. But hurry: this flavor is only available for a limited time in stores, so get it while it’s cold!
