Hopdoddy Tillamook Takeover

What happens when the most creative people around, the best burger under the Austin sky, and the tastiest cheese in the world team up? Magic! Like a unicorn that shoots rainbows; except better! Magic may be the best word to describe what happens when Tillamook is added to anything! Thankfully you can experience this type of mouthwatering euphoria on Saturday, March 9 from 12:30pm-3:30pm at Hopdoddy Burger Bar on South Congress. You’ll go for the Terlingua burger and the Buffalo Bill burger with a Caramel and Sea Salt Shake (say that 5 times fast)! What you’ll get is all that AND samples of the world’s best Medium Cheddar Cheese (used on the “Terlingua”) and Pepper Jack Cheese (used on the “El Diablo”). Oh there’s more! Your visit won’t be complete without great Tillamook coupons, cheesy recipes, and tons of smiles!

What are you doing Saturday that could possibly be more fun than this?! Nothing. You know you’ll have a hankering for a good time, so just come on out and see our beloved new Tillatruck, say, “Hey” to our friendly brand ambassadors, grab some delicious cheese, and get your hands on the best dang burger you’ll ever have! This is one cheesy event you won’t want to miss. See you Saturday! If you can’t make it Saturday, Tillamook will be in Austin until the 18, so check the schedule to make sure you can come out to experience the YUM! We can’t wait to see you.

I Peeked Early … Austin Here We Come!

Austin Here We Come!

This week the Loaf Love Tour is pullin’ into Austin, Texas and I couldn’t be more excited! Austin is one of the cities I’ve been most excited to visit on this year’s tour schedule. As a Portland native, I’ve heard great things about Austin, especially that it is similar to my own lovely hometown. A few of my Oregonian friends have even made the move to Austin and have passed along praise about the city. Getting to check out new places is a huge perk while working on the road.

But I have a secret… I actually cheated and got a sneak peak of Austin a couple weeks ago when two of my fellow Loaf Love coworkers and I had a Saturday off. We drove down to Austin to check out the last day of the South By Southwest music festival, and it was awesome! There were people everywhere and live music billowing out of every door we walked by. There was so much to see, hear and take in. Everything and everyone was so cool! The great day in Austin only made me that much more excited to get to spend more time there starting this week!

I’m also looking forward to visiting some of the fabulous restaurants in the area and hopefully I’ll get the chance to try the tasty Tillamook grilled cheese sandwiches offered at a few local eateries as part of our Grilled Cheese Week. If you have any recommendations for must-see’s or must-do’s in Austin, come on by and let me know! Try some of our tasty cheeses while you’re at it!

You can find the schedule of all of our Austin store stops here.

See you in Austin!

Behind the Scenes: Tillamook meets Texas

I think the Tillamook Baby Loaf Bus is starting to get comfortable in Texas!

When people think of a production shoot – whether it is for a TV show, movie or commercial, most people think of a sprawling set, large studio, lots of staff running around, props, styling sessions and demanding actors. Well I’m here to tell you that the production of the Tillamook meets Texas TV campaign was nothing like an ordinary production shoot! We wanted to keep things as simple as possible. The goal was to introduce Tillamook Cheese to Texans and capture the authentic interactions they have with people on camera.

With a small crew, a Tillamook Baby Loaf Bus, and a lot of Tillamook Cheese on hand the characters Luke and Dale traveled around Texas introducing Tillamook Cheese to Texans. They visited farmers markets, BBQ restaurants, car shows, a hat shop, iconic landmarks and fields, homes and cities in between! The locations were real, the people were real and we had a really great time bringing this campaign to life! Here are a few of my favorite moments from the shoot.

Watch all six spots in the Tillamook meets Texas campaign here. Enjoy!

With the beautiful Austin skyline in the background, Luke and Dale outline their mission of bringing tasty Tillamook Cheese to the people of Texas on camera.

This is the crew! You have a director, a sound technician, a camera operator and a few others onset that are making sure the commercial comes to life.
