Tillamook Cheese Dog Treats Recipe

Dog Treats

Ellie the 7-month lab patiently waiting for her Tillamook Cheese treat

We all know that our furry friends like Tillamook Cheese, but did you know that you can make a cheesy treat for them? Here’s a quick and easy recipe that your favorite dog will be sure to love!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • ¾ cup Tillamook Cheese, shredded (I used Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese)
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons water or broth (if dough is dry, add a bit more)

Preparation:

This part is really easy! Pre-heat the oven to 350°F. Mix all the ingredients together until they form a nice, solid dough. If it’s not holding together, add a bit more water or broth and press together. Separate the dough into two balls and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. (While that step is not necessary if you are in a hurry, it will help make the dough easier to handle and roll out later.) On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about a ⅛-inch thickness. Then, get your favorite cookie cutter (that’s the size you want the treats to be) and cut out the treats. Bake them in the oven at 350°F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. All done!
