Texas Meets Tillamook TV Ads
Starting this week, Tillamook is hitting the airwaves in Texas for the first time! We are airing TV commercials to introduce Tillamook to the great people of Texas in a campaign called Texas meets Tillamook.
Texas meets Tillamook depicts a road-trip taken by two guys from Oregon, Luke and Dale, as they travel the great state of Texas in a Tillamook Baby Loaf Bus introducing the cheese that hails from their home state of Oregon.
Check out the spots below!

I love the commercials!!! I live in the great state of Texas and my second choice would be Oregon. Been to Tillamook and to your cheese factory. Love the cheese and especially love the ice cream. I can still smell Tillamook from Texas. The most unique odor in the good ole USA. Keep up the good work!!! You’re an American Gem.

What is the name of the song in the back ground? I’m having trouble finding it.

I truly enjoy these commercials! The selected spokesmen are very animated and I love how they bring a nice sampling of “cheesiness” to the campaign without going overboard. I smile every time one of these commercials airs. Keep up the great advertising!

Hi Liz,
We loaf hearing about super-fans like yourself, and I’m so glad you’re able to find our cheese in Texas! I will be sure to pass along your request for yogurt and ice cream. But since stores choose what they carry, it’s always good to also let them know which Tillamook products you want to see on shelves!
Thanks!

I was thrilled to see one of these commercials on TV last night. I’m a huge fan of Tillamook cheese and have been to the factory in Tillamook. I buy it all the time and love visiting Oregon where I can order a burger with Tillamook cheese on it. So glad that I can get my hands on these great cheese in Texas. I’m glad to spread the word to all of my Texas friends that Tillamook cheese is the cheese to buy! I know it’s all about baby steps, but I would love to see some of your Ice Creams in the stores here as well! Keep up the great work!!

Oh, please please PLEASE consider a bit of a re-write on your May schedule, and come to Houston to participate in the Art Car Parade with your adorable Tillamook Baby Loaf Bus! We’re only 2 1/2 hours from Austin, and the parade in on May 12. Of course, we have the Ball on Thursday night, 5/10, and the award ceremony and brunch at the Orange Show monument on Sunday, 5/13, but it’s all good!
Houston has the largest Art Car Parade in the world, and this the parade’s 25th anniversary. Here’s some history on our parade: http://www.orangeshow.org/art-car-history/
For other info, please see http://www.orangeshow.org/art-car/
Hope you can make it!!! My car, Bubbles LaRue, is dying to meet your van!
Cheers!

Great commercials! — but for heaven’s sake, where are these guys from? Canada? They don’t say the word “Oregon” or even the word “Tillamook” the way native Oregonians do.
May 13th, 2012 at 2:23 pm
Great cheese! What’s the jingle on these commercials? This song seriously puts me in an instantly better mood!

Thanks

Hi Joe, thanks so much for your comment! The guys got their hats from a famous shop called Texas Hatters in Lockhart, Texas.
