Try a Nibble of ‘America’s Best’ Monterey Jack

Last week we saw more Tillamook Monterey Jack Cheese loaf love from our friends at The Nibble! Our award-winning cheese (recently voted ”America’s Best’“!) proved to be a jack of all trades in the kitchen for the Nibble team, and they listed some great uses for Monterey Jack that are making us SO HUNGRY, including: “grated onto garlic fries” (#12) and “layered on a ham or turkey sandwich” (#18).

Read the post here and tell us what recipes you’re inspired to make tonight.

Yum! Those are all such tasty ideas, Sharon! We sometimes have coupons available on our Facebook page (“Like” us at http://www.Facebook.com/TillamookCheese). We don’t currently have one, but we do from time to time. Also, if you sign up for Tillamook emails, we’ll send you updates on Tillamook news, events, and special offers (sign up is at the bottom of this page).

    Thanks!

I disagree! Your Monterey Jack cheese taste bad. It’s gooey right out of the package. It’s so bad it can’t be put through a decent shredder because it clogs it up.

A really good MJ cheese is Joseph Farms (Modesto Calif. A Gallo Company). It makes you want to carve up the entire block and just have a pig-out snack-fest.

I don’t think you let the cheese age long enough, the enzymes are still too active and kills the taste. Don’t be such a mass-production about making the cheese. Take some pride in what you do. Leave out the rennet.

    Hi Hugo,

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our blog! We’re sorry you’re not a fan of our Monterey Jack Cheese and we will be sure to pass that feedback along to the team.

We take pride in all of the products that we make, including our mild and creamy Monterey Jack Cheese. The quality of our Monterey Jack has been nationally recognized; at the 2011 United States Championship Cheese Contest (www.uschampioncheese.org), Tillamook Monterey Jack Cheese was honored as “America’s Best” against 35 other entries (including Joseph Gallo Farms). We are proud to say the judges gave our Monterey Jack a near perfect score of 99.40 out of 100!

If you have more questions about how we make Tillamook dairy products, please don’t hesitate to contact us (http://www.tillamook.com/contact/index.html) or check out our Frequently Asked Questions (http://www.tillamook.com/faqs.html).
