To celebrate Grilled Cheese Month we are proving that decadent desserts don’t have to be fancy! This grilled cheese sandwich has every flavor a good dessert should have – it’s sweet, salty, and fruity. Medium White Cheddar Cheese is the perfect choice for this sandwich because the light flavor adds a touch of salt to the sweet blackberries and chocolate, but isn’t overwhelmingly cheesy! This sandwich is very rich, so be sure to recruit a friend of two to share.

1 tablespoon Tillamook Unsalted Butter
2 slices of bread
2 Tillamook Medium White Cheddar Cheese Slices
¼ cup fresh blackberries
2 tablespoon chocolate spread (such as Nutella)

Blackberry, Chocolate and Medium White Cheddar Grilled Cheese Sandwich

1. Butter one side of each bread slice. Place one slice of bread butter side down on a plate or cutting board.

2. Layer the Medium White Cheddar Cheese on the bread, followed by blackberries. On the other slice of bread, spread the chocolate on the side that isn’t butter. Sandwich the two slices together.

3. Heat a pan over medium heat. Once it is hot, add the sandwich and cook until cheese is melted, about 3 minutes on each side. To speed up the cooking process, cover your pan with a pot lid to help trap the heat and melt the cheese!

4. Once the sandwich is golden brown on both sides remove it from the pan, slice and serve!
