Statement from Tillamook County Creamery Association Regarding Stolen Cheese Tour Vehicles
July 14, 2014
On Saturday, July 12, we learned that a Tillamook truck, trailer and three cheese sampling tour VW buses were stolen in the middle of the night from a hotel parking lot in the Sacramento, Calif. area, where our Loaf Love Tour team was promoting Tillamook Cheese. We are working closely with local Sacramento-area authorities, who are currently investigating the case. As of today, July 14, the truck and trailer have been recovered by the police, unfortunately severely burned. The three mini VW buses are still missing. If anyone has any information that could help in the investigation, please contact Manteca Police Detective Moody at 209-456-8101. Tillamook is offering a $10,000 reward for the safe recovery of the three mini buses.
