Let's Make This Recipe!

  • For the Filling:
  • 1 tablespoon Tillamook Unsalted Butter
  • 4-5 Granny Smith apples (or your favorite variety), peeled & cored
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • Step 2

Rub the tablespoon of butter all over the inside of a 9 inch oven safe skillet or pan.

  • Step 3

Slice the apples into thick, ½ inch slices and add to a bowl with the brown sugar, water and cinnamon.

  • Step 4

Toss to coat the apples and transfer them to the buttered pan.

  • Step 5

To make the topping, combine the flour, oats, sugar and cinnamon.

  • Step 6

Dice the butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture.

  • Step 7

Using your fingers or a pastry cutter, crush the butter cubes through the flour until they are smaller and it feels like sand.

  • Step 8

Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apples and bake in the oven for about 50 minutes and the fruit starts to bubble up around the edges of the pan and the top is golden and crunchy.

  • Step 9

Let cool for 10 minutes and then serve warm with Tillamook French Vanilla Ice Cream.
