Sometimes there’s no substitute for a perfectly cooked steak, and when you add sour cream whipped potatoes to that steak, you’re talking about a seriously tasty experience. One bite of this Grilled Flat Iron Steak from Haven Gastropub and your taste buds will give you a high five.

Ingredients
  • Herbed Butter
  • ½ cup (1 stick) Tillamook Unsalted Butter, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tarragon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon shallots, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Flat Iron Steak
  • 4 (8 oz) flat iron steaks
  • Salt & pepper to taste
Directions
  • Herbed Butter
  • Step 1

    Whip all ingredients in a stand mixer with a whisk until consistent.

  • Step 2

    Set aside until steak is cooked.

    Season the flat iron steaks (or your favorite cut) with salt and pepper. If you have a favorite seasoning or marinade, feel free to use.

  • Step 2

    Grill to your desired temperature.

  • Step 3

    Top with herbed butter to serve.

    TIP: Best served with Sour Cream Whipped Potatoes on the side!
