Stuffed Jalapeno Popper Burger
Chef Cuso’s Stuffed Jalapeño Popper Burger is loaded with Cream Cheese, Bacon, and Jalapenos, grilled and finished with Pepper Jack Cheese and Cheddar Cheese melted on top.
Ingredients
1 LB 80⁄20ground beef
1 jalapeño
4 strips of bacon
2 slices of Tillamook Pepper Jack Cheese
2 slices of Tillamook Cheddar Cheese
Brioche Bun
Seasoning/Salt/Pepper to taste
2 tbsp pepper jelly
In a bowl, combine ground beef and seasoning.
Dice jalapeños and set aside.
Cook bacon in a cast iron pan, slice into bits when fully cooked and set aside.
In a small bowl, combine Galapagos, bacon bits, and cream cheese - mix thoroughly.
In your palm, create a cup out of the beef mixture and place a heaping tablespoon of the cream cheese filling into the center well.
Tip: Shape the filling into a hockey puck to achieve more of a burger shaped patty.
Add more of the beef mixture on top of the filling and seal closed to create a stuffed burger patty
Grill until cooked to your desired temperature
Tip: This stuffed burger is fragile - only flip once or twice on the grill so it doesn’t fall apart!
Add pepper jack and cheddar cheese on top to melt
Grill the buns
Spread the pepper jelly on the buns
Assemble the burger on the bun and enjoy
Tip: Keep a lot of napkins nearby!
